Use Financials → Retirement for a concise current retirement projection. It summarizes the saved Retirement goal; use Open retirement plan when you need to change assumptions or investigate the full calculation.
What does the Retirement projection show?
The top summary shows:
Projected at retirement — the modeled portfolio balance when retirement begins.
Spending goal — the percentage of the planned spending goal that is funded.
Planned retirement — the modeled retirement year and available adult ages.
Savings needed — the target savings amount in the selected monthly or annual period.
Current plan vs. target compares current and target measures and their difference. How retirement is funded over time can show Social Security, other plan income, portfolio withdrawals, unfunded amounts, planned spending, essential spending, retirement start, and portfolio depletion when applicable.
How do I change the display basis?
Use the display control above the projection to choose:
Today’s $ or Future $;
Monthly or Annual; and
Before tax or After tax.
Read the chart description carefully. Income and portfolio withdrawals can be shown before tax while spending lines are after tax, depending on the selected display basis.
What is the difference between Financials Retirement and the Retirement goal?
Financials Retirement is a summary and presentation surface. The Retirement goal is the interactive planning workspace for retirement timing, portfolio, savings, Social Security, other income, spending, assumptions, Planned and Sustainable analysis, and detailed tables. Changes belong in the Retirement goal, not in the Financials summary.
Why does Financials say “No retirement goal yet”?
Kerdora needs a Retirement goal and completed assumptions to build the projection. Open Planning → Goals, create or review the Retirement goal, and confirm household birthdays, retirement timing, assigned accounts, savings, income, Social Security, spending, and portfolio assumptions.
Kerdora supports one Retirement goal per client file. If results look wrong, also review Office → Plan Cleanup for missing birthdays, account balances, owners, subtypes, funding methods, or other incomplete source data.
