How do I start Present Mode for a client meeting?
In an advisor's client file, click the Present icon (a presentation board; tooltip “Present (O then P)”) in the page header to start Present Mode. The keyboard shortcut is O, then P, pressed in sequence while you aren't typing in a field.
Open the client file you want to discuss.
Open a meeting page, such as Planning → Goals.
Click the Present icon, or press O, then P.
Kerdora keeps the meeting page open and trims the surrounding navigation. If you start from a page outside the meeting navigation, such as Profile, Kerdora opens What matters instead. Calculator pages can stay open.
You can also search for and choose Open presentation in the command bar. Present Mode is available to advisors inside a client file, not on the practice's client list or in a client's portal.
How do I present Goals or Retirement?
On Planning → Goals, advisors use the client-header Present icon (tooltip “Present (O then P)”) to talk through Goals in Present Mode.
Open Planning → Goals and start Present Mode from the header.
Stay on Goals, or choose Goal mapping or Gap analysis to discuss that part of the client's plan.
To discuss Retirement, open the Retirement goal by clicking its name. Choose a view such as Plan, What If, or Client Summary.
The sidebar and goal controls remain available, so you can move between Goals and other meeting pages without leaving Present Mode. If a drawing tool is active, press V to return to normal clicking first.
Retirement's Projection view also has its own Present button. That button opens a large Retirement projection view over the page; it doesn't start the client-wide meeting mode. Close that view with its x. Use the client-header Present icon or O, then P when you want Present Mode across the client file.
How do I switch meeting pages with the keyboard?
In Present Mode, advisors can press G, then a page key within 1 second to move between meeting pages in a client file.
Use O for Goals, M for What matters, F for Financials, S for Spending, I for Investments, R for Insurance, X for Taxes, E for Estate, B for Business, C for Changes, V for Visualize, G for Guides, or T for Tasks.
Press T, then S within 1 second to collapse or expand the sidebar. These shortcuts don't run while you're typing in a field or working in a dialog or floating panel.
What does Present Mode show and hide?
In an advisor's client file, Present Mode keeps What matters, Financials, Planning, Changes, Visualize, Guides, and Tasks in the sidebar. Tasks opens the client-assigned task list rather than the advisor's Office task list.
Present Mode removes Profile, Documents, Dora, Office, Plan Setup, and Insights from meeting navigation. It hides Search or jump, the header Insights, New task, Ask Dora, Help, and user-menu controls, the Dora drawer, and inline Insights. The logo no longer links to your practice home page.
Advisor panels open before Present Mode starts are hidden without being closed; they return when you exit. The client name remains visible, while sidebar household details and the link to Profile are hidden.
The meeting header keeps the calculator and Notes icons and Change, alongside Exit and a Full screen icon when needed. On the Tasks page, these header tools are limited to Exit and Full screen; open another meeting page to use Notes, Change, or Calculators. Notes opens Meeting notes.
Normal page tabs and editing controls can remain available; Present Mode doesn't make the client file read-only.
How do I use full screen in Present Mode?
When an advisor starts Present Mode in a client file, Kerdora asks the browser to enter full screen automatically. If the browser doesn't allow that request, Present Mode still works inside the browser window.
Click the Full screen icon (expand arrows; tooltip “Full screen”) in the meeting header when it appears to try again. Once the browser enters full screen, the Full screen control disappears and Exit remains available.
Full screen changes how much of your display Kerdora occupies. It doesn't start a video call or share your screen with a client. Use your meeting application's screen-sharing controls when meeting remotely, then present the Kerdora window or display you intend the client to see.
How do I draw or point during a presentation?
In Present Mode, advisors use the floating drawing palette to annotate the current client page or point to something on screen.
Navigate (V) restores normal clicking and editing.
Pen (P) draws marks.
Highlighter (H) highlights an area.
Laser (L) points without keeping permanent marks.
Eraser (E) removes drawn marks.
Choose a tool, then use its adjacent settings arrow to change pen or highlighter color and stroke width. Laser settings offer Dot or Trail; the trail fades away.
While a drawing or laser tool is active, clicks on page content won't activate the controls underneath. Press V to use the page normally, or hold Space to navigate temporarily and release it to resume the tool. Tool shortcuts don't run while you're typing in a field or working in a dialog or floating panel.
How do I hide, remove, or keep presentation marks?
In Present Mode, advisors can undo, hide, or clear drawing marks on the current client page, but Kerdora doesn't save them as client notes.
Use the palette's undo or redo arrows, or press Ctrl/Cmd+Z to undo and Ctrl/Cmd+Shift+Z to redo; Ctrl+Y also redoes. Click the eye control with tooltip Hide marks to temporarily hide drawings, then Show marks to restore them.
To clear drawings, select Eraser, open its settings arrow, and click Clear all marks. Clearing can be undone while you remain on that page in Present Mode.
Marks disappear when you open another page or a page tab that changes the address, resize the browser, enter or leave full screen, reload, or leave Present Mode. Write anything you need to retain in Meeting notes and save it with Add note. You can drag the palette by its grip, rotate it, or collapse it to move it out of your way.
How do I save meeting notes while presenting?
In Present Mode, advisors click the Notes icon (a notebook and pen; tooltip “Notes”) in the client-file header to open a panel titled Meeting notes. Anything shown or typed in that panel is visible on your shared screen.
Click the Notes icon. If you need another note, click the panel's plus icon with tooltip Open a new note.
Enter a Title and note content.
Check the eye control's visibility tooltip. A new note starts as Internal only; switch it to Visible to client if that is your intended setting.
Click Add note to save the new note to the client file.
Edits to an existing note save as you make them. Starting Present Mode or typing a new draft doesn't replace the Add note step.
Meeting notes lists notes already marked visible to the client and notes created during the current presentation. Older internal notes are excluded from this panel. An internal note written during the meeting can still appear on your shared screen; its visibility setting doesn't conceal what you're currently showing.
How do I open a calculator during a meeting?
In Present Mode, advisors open Calculators from the client-file header to use a calculator while discussing the client's plan. Click the calculator icon to open its menu.
Choose Basic Calculator or Time Value of Money to open a floating calculator panel alongside the current page. Other choices, including Debt Payoff and Payroll Annualizer, open their calculator pages within the client file.
Present Mode stays active when you move to those calculator pages. Use the meeting sidebar to return to Goals, Financials, or another page afterward. Opening a calculator doesn't create a Change; use the header's Change button when you want to record a follow-up from the discussion.
How do I add a change during a meeting?
In Present Mode, advisors click Change in the client-file header to record a real change for that household without ending the presentation.
Click Change to open the New change panel.
Enter a Description and choose a Category.
Enter a Target date if needed.
Click Add. Ctrl/Cmd+Enter also submits the form.
A description and category are required. After a successful save, the change is added to that client's Changes records and the entry panel closes. If the form says “Change could not be created. Try again.”, the save failed; retry after checking your entry.
Use Cancel if you don't want to add the draft. Present Mode doesn't turn changes into meeting-only notes or undo saved records when you exit.
How do I leave Present Mode?
In an advisor's client file, click Exit in the meeting header to leave Present Mode and restore the usual advisor navigation.
If Kerdora is in browser full screen, pressing Esc to leave full screen also ends Present Mode. If full screen never started, or you're presenting in a regular browser window, use Exit; Esc alone isn't a general Present Mode exit shortcut.
Leaving the client file or switching to another client also ends that client's presentation. Present Mode is scoped to one client in one browser tab and can survive a page reload when browser session storage is available. A reload doesn't retain your drawing marks.
Exiting doesn't reverse saved client edits, changes, or notes. Save a new meeting note with Add note before finishing if you need it in the client file.
Can I use Present Mode on a phone?
On a phone, advisors can start Present Mode inside a client file through Search or jump: tap the search icon, search for Open presentation, and select that action. The desktop header's Present icon isn't shown in the normal phone layout.
Once Present Mode is active, the phone header shows Exit, plus the Full screen icon (tooltip “Full screen”) when the browser isn't in full screen. Open the navigation menu to reach meeting pages, Notes, and Calculators. The header's plus button adds a change.
Drawing and laser tools ignore finger-touch input, leaving touch scrolling available. Use a mouse or compatible pen for marks, and switch to Navigate when you want to tap page controls. Browser full-screen support can vary; Present Mode can still run in the browser window.
Does Present Mode change what clients see in their portal?
Present Mode changes the advisor's screen inside a client file; it doesn't switch a client's portal into a presentation or give the client the advisor's controls. A client sees your presentation when looking at your display or watching your screen share.
Advisors can still navigate and make real edits while presenting. Those saved edits follow the usual client-data and Guide visibility rules, but starting Present Mode itself doesn't change portal permissions or publish a Guide.
Use the client's portal or a shared Guide for independent client access. Before sharing your screen, open the page you intend to discuss and check its content: Present Mode hides specific advisor tools, but it isn't a preview of the client's permissions.
